Hi all,
As many will be aware Brian, our Digmeister, is temporarily electronically incommunicado and Chris, our Unterdigmeister, is also temporarily immobilised , so it was agreed at our meeting last Wednesday that I would act as channel of communication for the time being.
The dig so far, though falling short of the planned Big Dig, has produced some interesting and tantalising finds.
So as regards this weekend, the plan is that, subject to the weather, there will be a dig on Sunday from 9.30ish onwards. I will phone Brian around 8.00 (giving up my customary Sunday lie in and breakfast in bed) to check the weather in the vicinity of Bourne ('cos I live in Preston and the weather is often different) and will post a Go / No Go announcement here on the Wyre Archaeology Forum site. Light rain and light winds will be OK but either heavy rain or strong winds may force cancellation.
I'll probably send a mail as well as a belt & braces measure.
