I'm still gobsmacked. Mind you, I haven't been swimming at the Lido for years...decades even. The last time I went for a dip there, Greenpeace turned up half way through the evening with a very wide stretcher and tried to haul me off back to the sea's edge...

Shakes head 8)

Complex has been built in the last year , the Lido was just not making enough money. Shame that's gone as well as the Derby which was fab. Used to swim for Blackpool in my teens, so swam at both baths. The new one at Palatine school is good, but the Derby was better.

Used to go to the baths in Poulton myself. They were a bit rubbish though. The deep end was in the middle, and it wasn't exactly deep. After three lots of concussion I noticed the 'No Diving' sign stuck next to the lifeguard's chair with a towel hanging over it.

Absolutely...on the Breck. Only they weren't so much baths as a puddle with sides. Not sure if they're still there or not.
