HI folks,

Following on from the email I sent out last night and for those who don't have or don't read their email, we now have the Met Office forecast that divides Sunday up into three-hour slots. It shows showers for all the slots that we care about except that labelled 10:00 (http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ ... ather.html). The BBC's animation of the expected weather backs this up (http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/315).

As we all know too wel thoughl, the forecast can change significantly in no time at all, so I guess we will have to wait until later today and possibly even tomorrow morning before we make the final decision.

There is a second condition on being able to go ahead and that is whether anyone can give Brian at lift. It's not the lift for Brian itself that is important, but the picking-up of some equipment from Farmer Parr's, which without transport, it would be rather difficult to get to the excavation site. I included Brian's mobile phone number in my email last night and, for obvious reasons, I won't announce it to the world in this posting, so if you can give him a lift, please ring Brian before tea time tonight (Saturday), so that we know where we stand when I ring him this evening.

I think that's it for now, so watch this board and/or your email for more news as it emerges later today.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi again,

I've just spoken with Brian and I'm sorry to announce that given the forecast for showers plus 22mph+ winds and that no-one has been able to volunteer to give Brian (and the equipment) a lift, there will be no activity on Bourne Hill tomorrow.

Keep your fingers crossed for next week,

Chris
