Are there any relics of WW1 around the Fylde - camps, training areas, practice trenches etc?

Phil,

There's Wilfred Owen's old address...or rather addresses...on Bold Street and North Albert Street in Fleetwood. He ran the rifle range where his troops were trained, now occupied by the golf course at Rossall Point, before getting shipped off to the front, writing a few good poems, and getting killed. There's probably a few relics around the golf course even now.

Certainly the North Euston Hotel has a War Department stone on it somewhere from WW1, when it was used as Officers' Quarters.

Don't forget the practice trenches which are now used as flower beds in Watson Road park in Blackpool
