I recently had the opportunity to photograph inside the 'Shrine' of Our Lady of Lourdes at Blackpool, on the site of the convent near Victoria Hospital. It was dedicated as a 'Thanksgiving' for safe return of the fortunate Blackpool residents from WWII. The Historical Chapels Trust have the place in hand as a Grade II listing, but it is in poor shape and needs a lot of love, attention and use. Its a beautiful building and interior. Let me know if anyone would like photo's.

There are some details at: http://www.hct.org.uk/chapels/north-wes ... lourdes/15.

Mike
