An iconic building in Kirkham, the St George Hotel, has been allowed to be demolished. The Town councill passed plans for development of the site into flats, say no more! The shell of the building could have been preserved with a rebuild inside, but the developers said it was not safe, well they would say that, wouldn't they. Town end will never be the same again.

A sad sight to see that Frank, spent many many good nights in there, looked a very solid building.
