 Post subject: Eroding metalwork on Central Pier.

This may sound a bit alarmist, but I was walking along Blackpool beach on December 28 and noticed that the metal supports on Central Pier looked quite eroded.

Obviously the pier is a very old structure but the bases of the 'legs' were exposed like I have never seen them before.

This may have been due to the strong winds of that weekend but, either way, it seemed to me (in my unqualified way of thinking) that some work needed doing on these ancient structures.
