I have only just started to look at this area, so I would appreciate some local knowledge. Is the possible Roman complex at Catterall Hall Farm known about? If this is Roman, could we imagine that it is in fact Caturactonium? Does that improve the case for Portus Setantiorum being on the Fylde? I believe that the clue which makes the history here and on the Furness Peninsular make sense in the trade in Tin. Are we the mystical 'Tin Islands' or Cassiterides who traded with the Ancient Greeks?

Sunnybanker, is your username a reference to an area of Kirkham?
Can you elucidate on the 'possible Roman complex at Catterall Hall Farm'?
