I have this information so far - has anyone anything earlier please?

1900 - The Blue Anchor Inn was in business on Fleetwood Road in Greenhalgh under James Downham (in 1934 the landlord was Albert Wilson). The pub was sold by Thwaites brewery in 2013 and then demolished to be replaced by 7 houses surrounding a small pond. The Gatward family had bought the pub in 2008 to try and turn around the flagging business, but it closed in 2010.
