I was wondering if anyone could shed some information on the history of Tarn road and Tarn farm in Thornton?

Having recently moved onto tarn road I am intrigued about the history of it and any of its connections with the roman road that runs down links gate and blacksmiths at the end of the road. Has anyone any old photos of tarn road or know of anywhere I could find some?

Thank you in advance and I look forward to hearing any response.

I have lived in thornton most of my life and regularly read the forum and local history is one thing that really intrigues me. Especially the illawalla which was sadly pulled down. Looks like they are trying their best to trash little thornton again with the prospect of a new housing development on lambs road.
