There was a brief discussion at the AGM about a lecture on "Viking DNA in the North of England". The full details can be found on the Lancashire Archaeology Society website but to summarize it takes place tomorrow night (20th April) at 7:45 in Fulwood United Reform Church in Preston.

I hope this is of interest to some of our members.

I would have quite liked to go to that, we are related to the Norfolk Storeys from what i have read on the family tree. I think they came to live in Cumbria but are Danish, they're mentioned in a novel called 'Lost Kingdom' which was on telly once. Does having them in your family mean they would appear in the DNA, i wasn't sure it worked as logically as that!.
